We had a great time 4WD-ing through the dunes and along the beaches. The information centre has some paperwork that’s worth grabbing prior to going. It’s $1 but has some helpful information.
There are beautiful secluded beaches and good spots to pull up for some lunch. Plenty of sad flies.
South of Back Beach was super soft and plenty of right foot was required!!

Nice little camp spot behind the sand dunes. Access to beach drives from 3 or 4 different tracks. One clean flushable toilet! Only downside was the bits of rubbish left by previous campers (we should all done better!!!)

Only came here for the day for some serious 4WD ing and certainly found that the beaches were amazing and the sand dunes massive . Often the sand is very soft and you need very soft tyres and a lot of right foot and momentum. Did not find any facilities or shops or water, so it’s BYO everything. A flag is really recommended as you cannot see over the crests and they are steep climbs so you need speed

This is one of the most beautiful 4WD tracks I have been through. The coastline is just amazing, rugged limestone, stony reefs and tide pools, long stretches of sandy beaches, sand dunes, native shrub - a bit of everything. The driving can be a bit treacherous, some stretches are very soft or dune crests churned up with massive holes. Low tyre pressure and good momentum is what gets you through, sand trax come in handy (twice for others, once for us) and sand flags are also good to have to been seen when racing up a dune crest. I would start early from Robe or Beachport as time flies, 20 minutes stop here, half an hour there, lunch, helping others out of bogs, before you know it, the day is gone! Camping sites look a bit rough, so best to stay at Robe or Beachport ;)

We stayed at Old man Lake. We had alot of trouble booking a camp site though. Ended up having to call after hours services. Campsites are very small amd oddly shaped. Also VERY close together. Take bug spray as there are millions of little friends there for you. Other than that a very nice stay
